The GreenAwareSM blogging team is comprised of information and marketing executives from the Experian Marketing Services team. These individuals offer unique insights into the ways organizations selling green products or pursuing green initiatives can spend marketing dollars more wisely and with more profitable results.
Denise Hopkins, Vice President, Marketing and Product Development, Experian Marketing Information Services
With over 19 years of experience in direct marketing and data management, Denise is responsible for the planning and strategic development of B to B and B to C marketing for Experian as well as the development of new data products to assist clients in better targeting prospects. Denise has a MBA from Pepperdine University where she graduated with honors. She received her bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Buena Visa College in Storm Lake, IA.
Denise is a member of the Direct Marketing Association’s B to B Council and has spoken on topics impacting marketers at industry and association conferences across the nation. Most recently, Denise was named to B to B Magazine’s “Who’s Who” list, recognized in the Direct and Database category.
John Neswadi, Director Transactional Data Products, Experian Marketing Solutions
John brings more than 10 years of direct marketing expertise to his current role at Experian, where he is responsible for planning, development and execution of our transactional data product strategy. Before assuming his current role, he held various positions with the direct marketing industry including: project management, account management, consulting and product management. John prides himself on educating clients and colleagues on the value of understanding consumer behaviors. His passion for sharing knowledge comes from his early days as a calculus teacher. John earned his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
Jan Jindra, Sr. Product Manager, Experian Marketing Services
In Jan’s 10-year tenure with Experian, she has held positions in direct sales, consultancy and product marketing. Her current responsibilities include the development and marketing for Experian’s core information assets, which include our flagship INSOURCE Consumer Database, BehaviorBank self-reported lifestyle database, life event files and geo-statistical files. Jan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.
Kevin Akerman, Sr. Director, Global Product Development Experian Marketing Services
Kevin Akerman is the sr. director of Global Product Development for Experian’s Marketing Services. He oversees B to C and B to B marketing data segmentation and targeting products. He is also responsible for new product development for all data-related new marketing products.
Prior to his current role, Kevin served as the senior product consultant at Experian where he oversaw the National Business Database. In this role, he was also responsible for B to B new product development.
Before joining Experian, Kevin held product marketing and list management roles at MBNA America Bank. He was responsible for direct mail acquisition, product development and strategies for account acquisition and list management. He also worked in the credit department, underwriting unsecured loans.
Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA. Kevin is currently a member of the DMA.
